Asuwa River, which flows right through Fukui City, has approximately 600 cherry trees along 2.2km of its embankment. When the cherry trees are in full bloom, they form a pink tunnel that is illuminated during the cherry blossom season. This elegant scenery was chosen as one of Japan’s best 100 spots for viewing cherry blossoms.
